I’m an Englishwoman, proud to be a European, and a long-standing resident of Cambridge, England. I live with my husband by the river in Chesterton, an ancient village that became part of Cambridge long ago.
I’m a graduate of the University of Cambridge, where I studied maths and computer science. I’ve been involved in politics for a lot of my adult life as a Labour Party activist and as an electoral reform campaigner.
I like making drawings, photos and digital paintings. You can see some of my images on Instagram and some earlier ones on Flickr. I have professional skills in:
- software engineering (27 years’ experience) specializing in DevOps: software integration and build/test automation;
- writing, editing, proofreading and typesetting text for publishers (nine years’ experience);
- political organization (one year’s professional experience).
